Bitumen grades
All Australian Standard bitumen grades – AS2008 – of Class 170, Class 240, Class 320, Class 450 and Class 500 are available from Barsalar. Classes of bitumen under the Australian Standard are determined by Viscosity measured at 60°C Pa.s.
Other blends using penetration standard grade (e.g. 40/50, 60/70, 85/100 120/150, etc.) are also available from Barsalar.
Bitumen is available in:
- Bulk – delivered by hot shipping vessels
- 180kg drum – delivered by standard shipping containers.
- 950kg polymer Jumbo-Bag© – delivered by standard shipping containers.

Bitumen supply capacity
Barsalar can supply bulk, drum and polymer-bag bitumen in both FOB Bandar Abbas and CFR all major ports in Australia such as Sydney, Melbourn, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. We also provide to major ports in New Zealand and some Pacific Islands.
Barsalar has a supply capacity exceeding 150,000 tonnes annually for bulk bitumen and 200,000+ tonnes annually for drum and polymer Jumbo-Bag© bitumen.

For small and medium-sized hot mix asphalt plants, our feasibility study shows that it is beneficial to purchase cold bitumen and melt it in-house for their annual consumption.
